Endeavor starting the game in location 2. Sometimes Steam doesn't commencement uploading immediately after exiting the game, and it might have starting information technology again to trigger the upload.
Either way, y'all tin cheque in the load window if recent saves are marked as having been backed up to the cloud.

Cheque the game at location 1 to make certain cloud support wasn't disabled. Yous can check the globally setting (in the client click on the Steam carte du jour and select Settings, then Cloud) likewise as for the game itself (in the library right click Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition and select Backdrop, then switch to the Updates tab and check the Steam Cloud department).

Any other guesses? I was syncing between my laptop and my desktop with no problem for weeks. Then suddenly, my laptop shows all the most recent files, while my desktop shows "not backed up to cloud" icon for the last x or so saves, and no recent cloud saves. Information technology's not seeing the files that have been saved to the cloud by the laptop. Since the desktop has a agglomeration of "non backed up to the cloud" icons, I'thou assuming it's the problem.

I tried all of the steps yous suggested, everything is gear up to sync everywhere, and both games merits to be synced and upwards to date.

Too, to reply to my own post, I simply tried saving a game from my desktop, and it did not save to the cloud.

I even tried uninstalling and re-installing the game, and that didn't fix it, so I'chiliad guessing there's a bad registry setting that doesn't get cleaned up on uninstall or something.

Very frustrating.

On the desktop, try disabling cloud saving for the game, outset the EE and confirm the cloud icons are not shown, exit the game and Steam client, reboot, restart Steam, log in, enable cloud saving over again for the game and endeavour starting it.

Try browsing to the '..\Documents\Larian Studios' folder and renaming the 'Divinity Original Sin Enhanced Edition' subfolder. That should get Steam to re-download the online version of the profile and all your saves. There is a copy of the contour and saves in the Steam install folder, as well, which may need to delete/move.
